Drunk driving is one of the leading causes of serious motor vehicle accidents, often leading to serious personal injuries or death.  It also can produce significant property damage, as homeowners in Harris  County have learned.

Homeowners in Harris County, Texas are left to clean up and restore their properties after a suspected drunk driver plowed through their fences and across their lawns.

According to one of the affected individuals, the apparently drunk driver, “took out the street sign, then he took out the fence next to me, then my fence, then another fence,” said homeowner Robert Hamilton. “We thought it was lightning or the transformer blew and everyone was scared. No one came outside. It rocked everybody’s houses.”

The driver, who was not injured in the crash, was arrested by Deputies.
