Houston Car Wreck Attorney

Bad Luck on the Road Can End in Tragedy

In late October of this year, a three-car accident killed one person near Ashland on the North Loop in Houston, Texas. The accident started as a simple two-car accident, which would have yielded no injuries or fatalities. Had the driver of one of the cars initially involved in the accident stayed in his vehicle or waited until he could get his vehicle to a safe place to pull off, this accident would have been nothing more than a discussion between two car insurance companies. A car accident lawyer, like Kirkendall Dwyer LLP, would most likely not even have been necessary for either of the drivers involved.

However, as the accident happened just before 3:30 in the morning, it was dark outside, and other drivers would not have been expecting to be on the lookout for a man in the road. The driver of a Toyota Camry involved in the initial accident got out of his car to take a look at the damage, at which point he was struck and killed by another car.

The man was pronounced dead on the scene, and now, because of bad luck and bad timing, the third driver involved in this accident will definitely need to enlist the aid of a car accident lawyer, as he may be facing charges of involuntary vehicular manslaughter.

It was just a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time, but now this third driver, who – like the other surviving driver – was not injured in the accident may face prison time for manslaughter. Getting help from the right attorney will greatly increase the odds that he’ll walk away from this mess. He’s not the only one who will need to call a car accident lawyer, though. The driver of the first car will now have to deal with the deceased driver’s insurance company, and it’s just not a good idea to go that alone.
