A family of six was traveling on Interstate 20 in Douglasville, GA to visit family at a nearby hotel when their vehicle flipped several times at an exit ramp. Unfortunately, one of the passengers, 7-year-old Jamaul Lewis, died at the scene. There were four other children ranging in ages from six to 15 that also suffered injuries. Two of the children were in critical condition while the two 15-year-olds were considered to be in good condition. All were flown to the hospital for treatment after the accident. The Deputy Chief from the Douglasville Police Department could only speculate that the driver may have missed their exit and overcorrected causing them to lose control of the vehicle.
