Fortunately, there were no apparent injuries after a Houston Independent School District bus collided this morning with a concrete truck on the far southeast side of town early Monday.    The crash was reported around 6:30 am on Mykawa Road at Schurmier Road, north of Beltway 8.

Although there were no apparent physical injuries, there was property damage.  The concrete truck sustained damage when it landed on its side in a ditch following the wreck.  The photo from Air 11 showed the concrete truck in the aftermath of the collision.

The authorities reported that there were only two students on the bus at the time of the accident, and neither of the students was injured.  The truck driver was sent to the hospital but, according to HISD authorities, his injuries did not appear to be serious.
